Our Library Media Specialist

Ms. Bridget Edwards is no stranger to the Atlanta Public Schools Community.  She attended L.O. Kimberly Elementary, R. J. Bunche Middle School, and D. M. Therrell High School. She has a  Master’s Degree in Reading and Literacy grades K-12, an Educational Leadership Certification, and a School Library Media Specialist Certification that has cultivated her into a skilled craftsman that can readily assess, develop, and initiate effective best practices to students, teachers, and parents in the fabulous world of literacy!

 

 

 

 

 

Our Media Center Vision is to:

    • implement an instructional program emphasizing information literacy skills that is integrated with the content curriculum

    • promote reading and the appreciation of literature as lifelong activities

    • provide a hub of learning for staff and students in developing skills in understanding, using, and producing media in various formats

    • create a diverse collection of information resources (print, non-print, and electronic) that support the curriculum as well as student interests

    • provide a welcoming atmosphere that is conducive to learning and working for all users

    • organize materials and resources for effective use
